Northern Communities Of Hope

Who We Are

Northern Communities Of Hope (NCOH) commenced  in early 2002 as a result of a partnership agreement between the Elizabeth and the Hewett Churches of Christ in Northern Adelaide, South Australia.

NCOH is based in Davoren Park in Adelaide. This is a low socio economic area where residents contend with such issues as Unemployment, Mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse, crime, domestic violence, financial hardship, gambling and loneliness.

AT NCOH we share solidarity with one another in this crazy mixed up world in which we live. We recognise that we all have a story to tell and that no one is to be regarded as being better than anyone else.

The people of NCOH exude a “robust”   brand of the Christian faith with a sincere desire to live out a vital and effective witness to the Kingdom of God to  the local people.

We recognise that many people in our society long for a sense of belonging , acceptance for they are  and for supportive and lifegiving relationships in a safe and loving Community.

The people of NCOH are indeed a resilient people of courage and love. You are most welcome to come and experience the NCOH “Vibe”. We would love to see you.

Our Office in Pritchard Street in Davoren Park  is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm Wednesdays to Fridays.

On Sundays we have Group of people who meet for an in depth Scripture Study at 10:30am and an informal , yet meaningful time of Worship at 6:00pm

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

JOHN 13:34-35
